Q: What is this page all about?

A: Well, after waiting endlessly for iMedia Connection to add my bio to their site, I finally gave up and decided to take matters into my own hands. So I've chosen to experiment with the new Google Page Creator to post some basic professional info. If you know me personally, you are likely already linked to my profile on MySpace and probably had little idea that this is what I do to make a living.

Q: Mike...hmmm... that's awfully informal. Do you ever go by Michael Margolin?

A: I guess sometimes, like in legal documentation. But ask yourself, does the picture above suggest that I take myself seriously enough to go by "Michael"? Mike'll do just fine.

Q: Is this page part of a greater RPA movement to connect it's Associates with the greater marketing community?

Hi there. Welcome to the Web site for Mike Margolin in Santa Monica, CA. In case you're especially interested in search marketing, customer relationship management, Web analytics or social media, you can find some background info on me here. If you're looking for the Satanic poet, the Beverly Hills tennis coach or the nationally-recognized Krav Maga instructor (yes, each of these is a real Mike Margolin), you've come to the wrong place and you should try Googling again. 9/29/2006 update: Awards, Awards, Awards (three of 'em) for RPA! Our campaign for the Honda Element won Best in Show at the Interactive Advertising Bureau's Marketing and Interactive Excellence (MIXX) Awards, followed up by Media Magazine's national Creative Media Award in the Online Media: Search category. All during New York Advertising Week. Go RPA...check it!

9/19/2008 update: Thanks to OMMA for naming RPA a finalist for Top Integrated Campaign in the Automotive Category of their 2008 OMMA Awards. This nice write-up credits some of the really smart folks involved.
9/23/2008 update: It's like 2006 all over again! RPA and Honda took home two more IAB MIXX awards (in case you don't know, the MIXX Awards is the equivalent of the Oscars for online advertising dorks). This year we took home Gold in the Search Marketing category for our work on Honda Certified Used Cars and another Gold in the Widget Marketing for Honda Civic Tour. Check it all out here. Sure is nice to work with brilliant, creative marketers and web developers (and I mean clients too)!
